Welcome to St Mary’s Church.
We are a busy, open church in the heart of Hinckley. We welcome everybody to the church - whether you have come to look at Hinckley’s oldest building, for some refreshments in our coffee bar, for worship, quiet space or to attend an event or activity in the church. We are open everyday.

There are toilets at the back of the church. For most worship services there is a hearing loop in operation.

Our main worship is on Sunday, when there are normally three services:
8.00am: A quiet reflective communion service using traditional language. We usually meet for about 40 minutes.
10.15am: A lively service, usually with communion except on the first Sunday of the month. Everybody is welcome to these services and there are a range of activities available. Services normally last about 1 hour 15 minutes and we have refreshements afterwards.
6.00pm: A quieter more reflective service to finish the weekend and start the new week. Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and we aim to finish by 7pm.

Most months we hold a Messy Church Service at 3.30pm, followed by a meal.

During the week
Tuesday, 10.30am: A quiet refelctive communion servicefor about 40 minutes. Coffee, tea and cakes in the Coffee Bar afterwards.
Morning Prayer is said Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 9.30am.

We meet on Monday and Wednesday morning at the St Francis Community Centre, Tudor Road.

Music at St Mary's

We have a thriving and growing array of music at St Mary's, both in our services and as social activities including a number of different choirs, a fantastic organ, a grand piano and even drumming groups. To find out more, pop in or contact the office.

Coffee Bar
Our coffee bar offers Fairtrade tea and coffee, plus a selection of cakes and biscuits, throughout the week, from 10.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday. Our Coffee Bar is also host to a range of groups and events.

Second Hand Book Shop
We have a large and thriving second hand book stall. As well as helping reduce waste, through reusing the books, proceeds from the sale help us keep the church open throughout the week.

Traidcraft Stand
We stock a wide range of fairly traded products including tea, coffee, biscuits and confectionary, as well as a selection of greetings cards.

Clubs and Activities
We are a very busy church with a range of activities going on throughout the day and evenings, for all ages. Activities and clubs take place in the church, the church hall and at the St Francis Community Centre. Please ask for more details, or look in the service sheet and our parish magazine.

St Mary’s Church
Please do have a look around, and pick up one of our Guide Books which tell you more about the church, its role in Hinckley life and the community. We are an eco-Church and have solar panels on our roof which generate 3600kWh of electricity, saving almost two tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.
